MORE ABOUT ME
I’ve been involved in one way or another in the furniture and interior design business for almost 40 years. I have loved design ever since I was a young girl. I grew up in Central Florida and, as a teen, my Mom took me to design showhouses with her in Winter Park, Maitland and Orlando.
Seeing those showhouses always took my breath away. I would dream about what it would be like to live in those gorgeous rooms, filled with colors, objects, textures and art that I had never seen before.
Then, during and after college, I had the opportunity to work in a furniture store in Winter Park, Florida and, although I didn’t know it at that time, my course was set.
I believe that beauty heals at a deep level, and it’s been my joy and privilege over these past years to have both been a luxury interior designer [ 16 years] and to now have supported luxury designers and brands through my main business, Savour Partnership, for the past 19 years.
I live with 2 cats, Big Boy and Pounce and within 10 minutes of every living member of my family. I don’t have children nor a husband – by choice. I love to read [ I collect children’s illustrated books ], and I love to travel. I’ve been many places all over the world.
I am a very early riser, I love nature photography and I am a trained labyrinth facilitator through Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.
Give me a choice between chocolate and Cheerios and I’ll choose Cheerios every time.
If I had to choose just *five things* to put in an empty room?
I’d choose a beautiful light fixture, a piece of art, a bookcase, a live plant and a comfortable chair.
HOW DID DESIGN HAPPY LIVING COME TO BE?
I have been planning to launch this lifestyle blog for awhile, but work and life got in the way. I started an Instagram feed instead, 5 years ago, as it was faster and easier for me to manage amongst my other commitments:
https://instagram.com/designhappyliving – which I invite you to follow.
Can you relate? Do you ever plan to do something and then *life and work* get in the way of what’s really on your heart to do?
Well, the timing is finally right for the blog to come into being.
And again, thank you for being here with me.
I hope that what I share on this blog will give you the seeds you need to plant and cultivate a garden of ideas that reflects your heart’s happiest self.

Again, I invite you to follow #designhappyliving on Instagram at https://instagram.com/designhappyliving and to use the #designhappyliving tag so I can see what you’re doing in your own lives to #designhappyliving.
Thank you for being here with me and please do subscribe and share this blog with your friends.
I hope that, over time, you will become part of the diverse community of people who believe in intentionally designing happy living. Who believe that happiness matters to health. People who who will help me spread the message of hope that *beauty heals* to people all over the world.
In Gratitude,
Leslie
