And The #WinFin Winner Is….

As some of you know, I’ve been running a giveaway with Global Views for their beautiful *FIN* art glass vase, shown below and today I have the JOY of announcing my winner and introducing her to you.

I chose the winner from all who entered by using a random number generator, which generated the number 7.

Julie Lucas of Jacksonville, FL was the 7th person who signed up to subscribe to my blog during the 1 week giveaway period and so Julie is the winner!

I had the opportunity to talk with Julie by phone this week and loved learning more about her…and I think you will, too.

This beautiful FIN art glass vase, from Global Views, is now going to its new home with Julie and her husband.

Julie has travelled all over the world serving as a public affairs officer for various branches of the military. For 4.5 years, she was living in Northern Italy, working for the Army, and then when it was time to move back to the US, she transferred to Jacksonville, where she went to work for the Navy in public affairs and where she met her second husband.

Julie manages various public affairs activities for one of the Navy bases in Jacksonville, including their social media.

Julie has a budding collection of art glass already and she sent me a picture of 3 of her pieces.

Julie’s husband flips homes for a living, and I loved hearing her excitement as she described helping him choose colors and renovate the kitchen in this one. She sent me this picture of the *Before* and *During*.

I love how they kept the upper cabinets white and painted the lower cabinets in navy blue for a fresh, fun look!

Here’s an image of the finished kitchen from the Airbnb listing. Isn’t it adorable? Are you noticing that shiplap detailing underneath the countertop where the barstools are sitting? And the hardware on the lower cabinet drawers? It’s those design details that make someone want to rent your Airbnb vs. someone else’s.
